Dear Doris was awarded the 2025 Post-Production Grant from the Portland Events and Film Office.

The funding is designed to encourage the completion of local feature-length films and to position local producers to build toward larger, more resourceful productions. Past recipients of the Post-Production Grant include Trash Baby, directed by Jacy Mairs (which premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival), and G. Chesler’s documentary Connection Isolation (which will be hosting several upcoming screenings with interactive programming nationwide).

Dear Doris received the 2021 Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence grant to go towards gear rentals and to jumpstart development filming in the Bay Area with key film participants — Phillip R Ford, Timmy Spence, Joshua Grannell aka Peaches Christ, and J Raoul.

Dear Doris was awarded a 2019-2020 RACC grant for director Scott Braucht. This funding will support our trip to Arizona for Miss X’s interview and development of animation sequences with Portland artist Jenny Kincade.
